A GENERAL RATE under Section 117 of " The Counties' Act, 1908," as under: Three farthings in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Ridinss of Balmoral Nos 1 and 2 ; One penny (id) in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Ridings of Crichton, Matau, Mt. Stuart, and Tnkomairiro; One penny farming in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Ridings of Clarendon, Glenledi, Waihola; One penny and one-sixt°enth of a penn* (1 i»i6d) in the £ upon th° rateable value of all the rateable property within Riding of Kan tangata ; and One penny and one* eighth of a penny upon the rateable value of all the rateable property within the Riding of Inch Clutha; a Special Rate of threesixteenths (3-i6ths) of a penny in the £ upon the rateable va'ue of the Clarksville and Somhbridge Drainage Districts of Toknmairiro Riding for the purpose of maintains ing the drains and payment of ins terest; a Special Rate of Seven sixteenths of a penny (7 i6d) in the £ upon the rateable value of the Matau Drainage District for the purpose of maintaining the drains j also the various Annual Recurring Interest Rates.

The said Rates to be for the year ending 31st March, 1919, and be payable in one sum at the Bruce County Office, Milton, on the Ist day of Sept tember, 1918.
