Ploughing Bee.

Messrs Hewit* Bon Bros, and Jasper Clark supervised the arrangements, and teams were sent by Mrs Halpin, Messrs Jas, Anderson, A. Melville, Jasper Clark, R. Hewitson, D. Grant, Howie Bros., W. Allison, A, Low* ery, T. Lowery, P. Hanley, Thos. Scott, and N. Adam. About 30 acres were ploughed, and grateful recognition of the spontaneous and kindly assistance thus him was fittingly acknowledged by Mr Paterson. The catering arrange* mentfl were capably carried out by Mr James Anderson (Milton), Messrs Tubman Bros, who were unable to participate in the ploughing bee, sent a team on Saturday for a day's discing.
