SUPPLY OF MUNITIONS.

BRITAIN'S GREAT WORKSHOPS. A correspondent of 'The Times'' has visited the British workshops with the object of giving some account of the national efforts to supply war material. The United' Kingdom has been divided into 11 munition areias, lie says. Excluding Government establishments, the chief munition 1 works are at Birmingham, Coventry, Sheffield, Manchester, on the True, the Clyde, the Mersey, and at BaaTow-in-Furnees. The four .last-named .are shipbuilding centres, but it is impo&sii'ble to separate the naval and military requirement by geographical divisions. The new organisation has brought into the field dozens of towns which have never before 'been engaged in the production of munitions. In addition there have been large extensions of the operations carried 1 on in the old armament centres, 'and the whole of these resource are directed to the supplying of military needs.
