New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., are in receipt of tbe following oable advice from their London Office regarding the opening of the first aeries of wool sales: "As compared with last sale's closing rates, prices are higher about par to 5 per cent, for fine, crossbred and greasy merino, about 5 per cent for medium greasy crossbred about 5 to 74 per cent, for coarse greasy crossbred, and about tbe same for merino scoured and crossbred slipc. There was a very large attendance with strong competition, and bidding general."
