BALCLUTHA STOCK SALES. Friday, June 26. The yarding comprised 1332 sheep, 10U cattle, 1 liorse, and 14 pigs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd, beg to report a medium yarding oi sheep and cattle. The opening tone of the sale was dull, but gradually improved as the presence oi freezing operators amongst the fat sheep became appreciable. The fat lamb season being almost over, good forward stores in this class were not in such keen demand, quotations showing a slight decline on the high prices obtaining at recent sales. We yarded 1 and sold fat ewes up to 10/, fat wethers to 18/, good store lambs to 12/-1, store bullocks to £3 18/, fat cows to £fi 11/-. ! Messrs Donald lieid and Co., Ltd., report a good yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle. They yarded 629 sheep and lambs, 4 head cattle, and 4 pigs, and sold fat wethers from 17/4 to 18/, fat ewes to 11/4, 2, 4, and 6-tooth ewes to 17/3, full-mouth ewes to 13/1, lambs (small) from 10/1 to 13/„ Ewes were in good demand, and there was a decided rise in cattle. There was a small yarding of pigs, and they brought good prices. .Messrs Dalgety and Co. beg to report having offered and sold for various clients 18 ewes at 13/-, 19 ewes at 13/1, 21 ewes at 13/11, 14 lambs at 11/, 36 lambs at 15/1, 41 lambs at 13/9, 130 wethers at 15/1, 44 wethers at 14/10, 30 wethers at 16/, 34 wethers at 17/4, 4 pigs at 17/, 2at 17/6, 1 at 18/6. The N.Z. Loan and M.A. Company report u medium yarding of sheep and cattle. Thece was a fair attendance of buyers and others, and the sale all through was on a par with last sales with tin; exception of fat cattle, which showed a slight advance on previous sales. Wo yarded and sold fat woth- j ers from 19/6 to 20/, fat ewes up to j 11/6, store wethers at 11/2, lambs from 9/ to 13/8, store heifers from £■3 2/6 to £3 8/0. —-On Friday we held a clearing sale at Waitapeka on account of the Misses Lawson, when everything offered found new buyers at very satisfactory prices.
