Valentine's Picture Co.
Thanks to the kindness of Mr Valentine, of Valentine's Picture Company, who appear here at the Coronation Hall on Wednesday night,'we are enabled to give our readers a slight idea of the feast to be provided. There are several pictured of travel, amongst which "Alpine Climbing," showing the vicissitudes and hardships undergone by a traveller in these altitudes; «' Quaint Holland," scenes taken while touring through this quaint old-world country, showing views of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, barge life, cheese markets, inland seas, and some lovely moonlight canal views j " Wild Animals," a beautiful series of wild animal pictures taken in Carl Hazenbech's private park, Hamburg, where animals roam about almost at will. This picture has received much praise from the Press. Amongst humorous subjects, " Father's Birthday Cycle Ride," " The Burglars and the Girls," and "Jack's Rival," never fail to elicit roars of laughter and any amount of enjoyment. "Little Alma," the child-wonder, has received numerous Press notices, and her performance is always marked by rapturous applause. Mr T. Shaw's illustrated songs always call for rounds of applause, and are beautifully illustrated and admirably sung. Miss E. Norder, A.L.C.M., provides a goodly share of the evening's entertainment, and her performances at the piano are marked by their extreme beauty and unique style. This artiste is one of the best pianistes who have toured the Dominion, and she provides an appropriate, tuneful, and artistic feast.
