enthusiastic letter the Town Clerk writes So follows: From the Picton Borough Council. 27th August, 1907. " I have much pleasure in slating that the Acetylene Gas Installation in the Borough of Picton is giving every possible satisfac tion. The street lighting is exceedingly good, cheap, and reliable, absolutely un« aftected by the weather, this, coupled with the fact that we have a first-class light cost* ing the Borough less than the unreliable kerosene. I can without the slightest hesi iation confidently recommend its use, The plant is working splendidly, without a hitch VVe have now a large number of consumers, and others are being connected as last as they can* I have used the gas in my bouse for over six months, and, apart irom the light, we find it exceedingly good and handy for cooking—a boon to the ladies for afternoon tea, ironing, etc. lam confident that Acetylene will soon be very extensively used, and, once installed, customers will not readily, part with it. 1 must no close without giving your Company every ciedit for complete plant installed and the good workmanship of your experts.' (Signed) 'J. Blizzard, TownCle k. An ounce of experience ia wortn a theory.
