In consequence" of information received Constable Mackenzie arrested a man named Henry Farquharson- at Stirling on Saturday last on a charge of stealing a saddle and bridle on the 28th ult.-, valued at £7, the property of James Morrison, .Stirling. Armed y with a. warrant the constable searched Farquharson's residence, and found attached to a saddle a stock whip valued : at £l, whi'ch^ was recognised as belonging to Robert Hawker, and was taken from the saddle of a . horse at Stirling last July.
