Public T.'oticas ==== " SUTTON'S, : -.: : r T .- PURPLE TOP MtMfoOIH FOR FATTENING LAMBS [SPECIMEN TESTIMONIAL.] Ryal Bush, Southland, N.Z., 28th May, 1904. Messrs Tothili., Limited, Invercargill. " „ Dear Sirs,— l wish to advise you that last year your Mr Taylor advised me to sow "SUTTON'S PURPLE TOP MAMMOTH" for lamb feed instead of RAPE, and I sowed in the/middle of November 16 acres with Purple Top Mammoth Seed (which I obtained from you) in broad cast Urillwith 2cwt of artificial manure to. the acre. It was the very finest crop I have ever had or seen, and for feeding I never saw the like. The tops alone are equal to a good crop of Rape, and after the turnips were broken by the lambs the field was just one white sheet.. Before Harvest I put on 293 lambs, and since then I put on 46 old ewes, and on 2nd May I put on 53 ewes and one ram, and they have not yet eaten more than the half of the 16 acres. I have always found that Sutton's Seeds were most reliable and good, -and 1 consider any small extra cost is well spent money. It only amounts to a lew shillings per annum, and it is a great thing ioi a farmer to be sure that the'seed he sows is the Best he can get. —Yours faithfully, (Signed) THOMAS HODGKINSON, *, ■ Wilson's Crossing;. r, * a 3 -o -S -3 ' -5 -o -3 1 111 1.1 1 II 1 £ % 8 ■ 8 •&-• S 8 8 S S S Z 8 ' 8 8 £ £ > £ £■ £ £ £•• w rf rf rf * ■ X X & .. - • ' ■ ■ / • ' Weeds Farmers should use Weeds , , _,_ , Reston Summer is at hand, Keston Weeds the "DUX" hoe, Weeds ' , * Reston and those who de- Reston Weeds weeder, and ridger Weeds . ,„ , Reston sire to enjoy it Reston Weeds (only £x 10s).
