Stronach, Morria and Co. report for the week ending the Bth June, .1904, as follows : — Fat Cattle. — The yarding to-day numbered 190, the greater number of which consisted of good quality cows and heifers, and the remainder bullocks of very nice quality for the butchering business. Prices for cows and heifers showed a slight decline, but bullocks were firm at last week's r nea Qaotatioua : Best bullocks .£lO to £10 10s, medium £8 Is to £9 108, others £6 15=3 to £7 10s, best cows and heif era £7 to £8, medium jt6 2d 6 J to £6 12s 6d, inferior £5 to £5 10s. Sheep. — The yarding to-day numbered 1821. Prices ao the commencement of the sale were on a par with last week's rated, but as the sale proceeded prices showed an advance of fully Is per head. Best wethers brought from 22a 6d to 26s 6d, medium £1 10 21b, inferior 15s 6d to 17s 3d, best ewes 22a 9d, medium 17a 3d to 18s 9d, others 14s 6d to 16s 3d. Lambs. — 402 penned; All suitable for freezing met a good demand, and prices were fully as good as last weak. Best 17s 3d to 18s, medium 14s 9d to 15a 9d, oners lla to 13s 4d. Pigs.— A small yarding, only 75 coming forward, the majority of these were porkersi and- all that were in met a good market. Suckers were very brisk of sale, and a big ! improvement was shown on the late prices. Quotations : Suckers 9s to 11s 6d, slips 12s 6d to 16s, stores 17s 6d to 255, porkers 29s 6d to 3&3, baconers 40a to 56?. Sheepskins.— A small catalogue for ihi.week's market. Prices were very firm at the following quotations ; Beat dry merinos 6d to 7d, medium 4^d to sad, best dry halfbred. 6d to 6|d, medium 4d to sd, best crossbreds 6d to 6£d, medium 3jd to s^d. Rabbitskins. — Small catalogues were sub mitced. ' Prices for" all sorts were highly satisfactory. Best winters 13d to Is£o\ autumns ll^d lo 14-^d, springs 9d to 13d, summers 5Jd to 9d, small 3^d to 5£J. Hides. — Prices for all sortß were firmer* especially light hides. There was a fairly large catalogue, and was cleared at the fol lowing pricea, which we are sure will beconsidered satisfactory. Prime ox s|d to 6Jd, medium to good s£d to s|d, light 4£d to s£d, cows hides best 4|d to sd> medium 4*d to 4|d, light 4d to 4Jd. Wheat. — There is little business passing, and no improvement can be reported.
