■ BHAZILIAN planter has, according to an American paper, begun to employ monkeys as nut pickers on his estates. Notioing the facility with which they accomplish the task on their own behalf he decided to train a number of them. He now has 48 industrious monkey labjrers under the direction of human overseers.
