In connection with the theft of £900 from the National Bank at Newton, Auckland, last year, the police have traced possession of a number of the notes to a man who was in Auckland at the time, and afterwards left for San Francisco. The man was ar- [ rested, but neither he nor the notes could be identified, and consequently tha pro- J ceedings ended there. I Interesting particulars are to hand regarding the advances made in the important colonial industry of cycle building The Anglo-New Zealand Cycle Company is one of the companies which seema to hare tackled the building trsi.de in real earnest and their production, the " Anglo Special," proves that cycles can be built in the Colouies equal to any imported both as to material used and external finish. The "Anglo .Special" has only been on the market for two years but the trade has t grown with such s'rides that, the co.ti pany find difficulty in coping with their orders. The advantage of buying this cycle is that every rider can have a bicycle built absolutely to fit him, and we are told by I experts that it is just as important to have a well fitting bicycle as a well fitting coat. The agents for the " Auglo Special ; ' in our district are Mr H. Ransome, of Milton, and Mr F. T. Poole, of Kaitangata, and both report very satisfactory business. — (Advt.)
