Of ligi t horses only three changed hands— one hack at £11, and another at £8, aod the third t £4: 10 a. There is a fair demand for youug draughts, but prices are not what they were, excepting in the case of extra heavy geldings, suitable for tbe town carriers This class of horse is soarce, and wanted, and first-class geldings are still saleable at £40 to £45. Good upstanding sprlng-oart horses are also very soarce, and command a ready sale at quotations. We quote an follows : Superior draught geldings, young, £35 to £40 ; extra good, a few pounds more ; superior young draught mares and fillies, £40 to £50; prize mares and fillies, L6O to £100; ordinary draught mares and geldings, £25 to £34 ; aged do, £14 to X2O ; young carriage and cavalry horses, £20 to £30; well-matched carriage pairs, £50 to' £80 ; strong spring-cart horses (young), £16 to £25; ordinary haoks and light harness horses, £8 to £14 ; weedy and aged backs and harness horses, £2.
