Weekly Report. Messrs Wright, Stephenaon, and Co. report a« iollowt! lot Saturday's e&le j— There v?a» au unnaually large entry of horses for thisf week'd sale. Most of them were hacks and light hameaa borßes, including a few that were exhibited at the A. and P. Associations show on Friday, The demand for superior barren horaea of 8 : z» and b eedlng was good, and a number of very datiafao;ory Bales weze effected. A few of the principal traneaofciona were the following :— A very handsome powerful apriDg- van brown horse, 5 years, at £21 ; a pair of very stylish black mareß, 4 yearß old by the imported English hackney stallion Oook of the Walk, at £50 ; and a very good baggy mare at £22 A large number of the commoner class of harness horseß also changed hands at from £9 to £16. Good draught mares and geldiDgs were codipiououa by their absoenos, only a few agad animals being on offer. Several geod buyers from the country were in the market franting good farm bones, and the town carriers and otherß were also present; anxious to buy first- olaaa heavy geldings suitable for town work. Aa evidenoe of the state of the Dunedin markot for tip-top gelding*, we have to chroniole the private tale of two heavy geldings, 8 years old, at over £100 for the pair ; of one well bred aged mare, in very low condition at olose on £50 ; and of teveral age* geldings at from £26 to £37.
