PEACE AT HOME.
j Girls do not sufficiently realise how much the happiness of the household depends upon them. We all know " the importance of keeping peace in the household, for it is upon that very 1 largely depends the beauty of social • life away from home. Fathers and mothers and brothers all have their • part to take in the maintenance of i peace at home, but no one can conj tribute so much to it as the girls of the family. When sisters are happy and friendly together, all seems to go well; . when they quarrel with one another, or are jealous and selfish and exacting, , peace amongst the rest of the family is _ out of the question, and nothing is as it should be. This should show girls the powerful influence they are capable 1 of exerting, and should lead them to 1 strive that their influence shall always ' be to the making of peace and the increase of happiness in the household.
