Presbyterian Church Social

The annual social reunion of subscribers to the church waß held in the Presbyterian Hall on Friday evening, when there was a large attendance. The Rev. Jas. Chisholm prenided, and in the course of tbe evening he add reused the meeting, giving some sound advice to the collectors. The speaker also gave some of hia own recollections while collecting up-country. -Refreshments, kindly supplied by a committee of ladies, were handed round duriug the evening. Thw following programme was goDe through to the enjoyment of all present : — Piano solo, Miss Stewart ; glee, " Hail, Smiling Morn ; " song, "I'll conquer or die," Mr J. B. M'Clymouc ; recitation, " Jack Dunn of Nevertiie," Mr A. Bryce ; solo, "The Way of Peace," Misß Reid; song, " The Mighty Deep," Mr R. C. Black (eDCored) j duet, " Sen of Glass," Misses Waters and M'Clymont (encored) ; glee, '♦ March of the Cameron Men;" dueC, " The Crookit Bawbee," Mrs Sinclair and Mr J. M'Clymont (encored) ; soDg, " Che Last Muster," Miss Joau Taylor ; reading, " Jock Nome's B-tmboozlement," Mr 3. Parlane ; song, "O a' the Airts," Mies Waters ; song, " Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep," Mr Jas. Stewart. Several selections on the graphophone Were also given by Mr Petrie.
