Tokomairiro Caledonian Sooiety
The annual meetiog of the Tokomairiro Caledonian Society was held in Mrs M'Farlane's Temperance Hotel on Saturday evening; present Messrs F. Beatings (in the ohair), J. Hislop, T. Powley, R. Murray Jan., H. J. Pink, R Lockhart, VV. H. Murphy (secretary). Minutes of last annual meeting were read and confirmed. The secretary read the annual report and balanoe eheet. On the motion of Mr Hislop, seconded by Mr Lockhart, it was resolved, •■ That Messrs D. M'Gdl and P. Walah be appointed to audit the balance ahfet." Mr Hislop moved " That the eporte be held on New Year's Day aa usual." Mr Powley seconded the motion which waß carried. The election of office-bearers was poatponed till a meeting to be held on Friday 26th mat. Mr Fink moved "That a letter of oondolenoe be sent to Mra J. M'Farlane sympathising with her on the death of her late husband." Mr Hislop seconded the motion whioh was carried. This waa all the business and the meeting then adjourned.
