Mr Feldwick, a newspaper proprietor, declared it was not needed and moved that the chair be vacated, which was, however, loat and progress was eventually reported with leave. — In the Council on Friday the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill was read the third time and passed — The Magistrates' Court Bill waa committed, and the Domain Bill and the Timber Floating Act Amendment Bill were read a second time,— The Institute of Journalists Bill was reported aa amended, and tho third reading fixed for Tuesday.
