(From Our Own Correspondent) Mr Dutton haa leaßed the latn Mr Robert M'Kenzie'B place, on Inch Clutha, where he will have more soope for his energies than where he ia at present. Mr Si. Aitcheaon is the successful tenderer for Mr J. Wright's house at Inch Clutha. Mr Wright intends building on tha aame site as was formerly occupied by the late Mr Forguson's residence, Residents on the Island will be gUd to Beo the stir and activity of life about the old place onco moro after ita long quiet. The Stirling football team played Port Molyneaux at Romahapa on Friday afternoon. When time was called the scores svere :— Stirling 4 points, Port Molyneaux 2 points, Stirling thus winning by 2 points, j The Port team regaled the visitors right royally in Host Tulloch's after the match. The Stirling team are loud in the praise of the hospitality and good nature of their opponents. Mr Jas. M'Kinlay'a many friends will bo pleased to htar that word has been received from him of his safe arrival in London. Mr M'Kiulay expects to ba back ia New Zealand about the beginning of Dscember. The Bruce County Council has sent dojvn a quantity of poisoned grain, for destroying sm ill birds, which is being distributed to settlera in the district. As the birds have already been fed with olean wheat, ie ig expected they will take the poison uneuspectingly. YVe are glad to notice tho long-boat has beea returned to ita place at the Bridget
