A syndicate formed in Britain by Mr J. Mitchell, of Sydney, is going to raise £1,000,000 to start iron and steel works in New South Wales. The great Bradlaugh lived in shabby apartments over a shop, and has left no estate but a mass of law books, into which he dug and bornd, with what results the world knows. Bishop Goe of Melbourne, says that the Acts of Parliament often make drunkards. To which the 'Freeman's Journal ' retorts : " Wei), drunkards often make Acts of Parliament, so where's the odds ?"
