The whole of the debentures have been subscribed by leadiug city houses, including Msasrs Baring Brothers aud Co., Glyn, Mills and Co,, and Schroder and Co. The Bauk of New Zealand will nominate two of the directors in the new company and the debenture hold rs three. The manager of the Australian and New Zealand Mortgage Company will probably be appointed manager of the Assets Company. The general feeling in the city ia that as soon as this matter is settled the bank's troubles are over.
