DUNEDIN STOCK REPORT.
Following is the report of business done at Burnside on Wednesday i —
Sheep.— The entries at Burnßide to-day made up a total of 3244, comprising 2994 orossbreds and 250 merinos. A good demand waa experienced, prices realised ruling about as follows : — Best crossbred wethers, 15s 6d to 17s 6J ; medium, 14s to Isi ; light weights, 11s 6d to 13s 6i ; best ev/ea, 14a 61 to 15a 9d; one pen of prime maiden eweß, 17s ; inferior to medium and good, 9s 61 to 13s 6d.
Lambs.— ll3 were s >ld at 73 6d to 10a 9d
Fat Cattle. — For the week's supply 187 were yarded, and sold under good competition at prices slightly in advance of last week's rates. Best bullocks brought £8 10a to £11 5s ; light weights, £4 15a to £6 ss. Oowb (best), £6 15a to £8 17s ; a few extra prime, £9 to £10 s* ; inferior to medium, £2 10 j to £3 15s.
Pigs.— 3o4 penned. Suckers made 5i to 9a ; stores, 16s to 21s ; potkers, 22s to 28a ; biconem, 32s to 46s 6d ; one or two extra heavy, 50*.
