See the masher with 'his cane, High collar, stiff and light, His cuff s without a stain, And hat bo glossy bright ; Sham diamonds in his shirt, Sweet maidens to enthral ; ~ He loves to lisp and flirt, And awear, • Oh, daßh it all. 1 Along the flaming street, t v With tightly fitting boot* ■ < Encasing his poor feet, • . He puffs his mild ohesrooti. With bold and killing stare, His whispers, as they fall, Must captivate the fair— • < . Haw 1 haw ! .' Oh, dash it all.' • - - Observe the masher's cane And hat so glossy bright, His weak, conceited brain The. barmaids' dear delight. The chappie smokes his weeds, . Talks of the play— the baJlj A useful life he leads — Haw> haw— ' Oh dash it all. 1 Perchance in other; days, ~ Some relics of this race May linger on to praise Each pretty, foolish face ; For can the chappie's stylo To deep oblivion fall, His week insipid smile And lisping 'Dash it alL
