A DAUGHTER'S WRONGS.
IMPRISONED FOR T WEN TV YEARS. New Haven, Conn., Feb 14. — A terrible tale of wrong, adding another to tbe long list of recent miserable Connecticut crimes, is published here to-day, from a reliable source in Hartford, as follows : A horrible story is told here about a family in Wapping Ido not dare publish the names. A family had a daughter that Avanted to marry against their wishes. This was 20 years ago. They shut her up, but she got out. Her father found her and shut her up again. She threw letters out of the window, but they watched Jier and got them. Thgn
they went to her room, and with a whip beat her. Then they put her in a dark room, with no windows, and have kept her for some twenty years. She has become gray, and must be by this time in an awful condition. I understand the neighbours have known of this, but dared not say a word against it. The father died some time ago, but the mother is alive, and her daughter is locked up all the while. It is thought the property left by the father brought out her story. No one is allowed to enter the room or see the daughter. She must be some 40 years old.
