DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKET.

Wheat. —The market for this is still improving and any lots offering are picked up immediately. Stocks of wheat South are very small, and what we heard of some time ago aa leaving California for Sydney now turns out to be a myth, so that prices are likely to go up further. Prices may be quoted at for prime milling velvet and Tuscan, 43 to 43 2d ; ordinary, 3s 101 to 43 ; red straw, 3s 10^d to 4s ; inferior, 33 6d to 3a 91 ; fowl's feed from 3s to 33 4£d for whole quality ; broken, 2a 7d to 3a. Oats. — Supplies are not coming forward so freely as they were, and the demand is just as good, consequently prices are a little firmer. AU that are coming forward are going into store, and if holders stick to them values must necessarily improve. There are large quantities in store waiting freight, which is still scarce. Prices for prime bright milling are 2s to 2a 2d ; good bright feed, Is lid to 2s ; ordinary, la 81 to 13 101 ; long Tartars for seed, 23 7d to 2j 10^1 ; Sutherlands for seed, 2s 91 ; d3inp and off colour, Is 31 to Is 81. Barley. — There ia no improvement in barley, with the exception of feed quality, which is more in request for shipping. Prices for really good malting are from 2s 81 to 2s lOd ; milling, 2a 3.1 to 2s 6d ; feed, Is lid to 23 31. Potatoes. — Derwent3 are readily saleable at £3 to £3 53 ; and it is thought that on account of the crop north being pretty well destroyed, prices may improve shortly. Grass Seed. — Offseason, and no sale 3 are beiug made. Our intercolonial markets are also off.
