TOKO. FARMERS' CLUB.

. ♦ A meeting of the Committee of fhe Tokomairiro Farmers' Club was held in the Council Cbambera on Tuesday evening. The President and thirteen members were in attendance. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was read from Mr W. Craig, Shag Valley, honorary secretary of the Farmers' League formed in that district, requesting copy of rules and other information, and referred to the Farmers' League Committee. A circular was received from the Taieri Agricultural Society covering following copy of resolution, and requesting co-operation of the Club therein : — "That the farmers resident in the Taieri County hereby pledge themselves and agree that from this date, in selling through agents, wheat, oats, and barley, the terms shall be net cash, and commission at the rate of two and a-half per cent. ; all bags to be paid for at the rate of one penny less than the wholesale rates." Mr Jas. Allison proposed, Mr Jno. Martin seconded, and it was carried, "That this Club agrees to co-operate with the Taieri Agricultural Society in its endeavor to carry out the terms of the resolution." Mr Henderson moved, and it was carried, "That the Secretary write to the Secretary to the Chamber of Commerce enquiring if ifc were in the Chamber of Commerce rules relating to discount that buyers could claim 2J per cent, for cash purchases on wheat, oats, and barley, and commission on sales of property. The Treasurer reported that he had paid the following accounts : — Bruce Herald, £12 ; J. A. Duthie & Co., £1 7s 6d ; G. and T. Young, .£l7 17s 3d ; sundries, £ifj 17s 6d. It waa resolved that the Secretary write the Domain Board giving them notice uuder the Fencing Act regarding the Domain fence, and the matter wa3 left to the Paddock Committee to arrange and report at next meeting. It was resolved, on tbe motion of Mr Murray, seconded by Mr Henderson, that there be no ploughing match this year. The Committee adjourned.
