— ■» LADIES' CHALLENGE SHIELD TEAM. The third and final competition far the selection of the Ladies' Challenge Shield team took place last Saturday morning. There were nine competitors present. The weather was very unfavorable for good shooting. The following are the highest scorers : —

The following will now represent the Company in the contest for the Ladies' Challenge Shield at the Otago R.rio Association Matches in December next : -

Sergt. M'Latchie and Prvts. Grant and Moore tied for the 4ih and ."ifch positions in the team with 145 poiuts each, aud consequently had to shoot off the tie. In the first round, M'Latchie started with an outer, Moore an outer, aud Grant a centre. In the second round, M'LrtVfcchie and Moore again, tied with bulls- eyes, and in the third round tied again with centres ; but in the fourth round, Mac secured a bulls-eye, aud Moore a centre. There was a good deal of excitement over the firing off of the ties.
