OUR CIVIL SERVANTS.
To the Editor. Sin, — I received the following telegram yesterday : — S. S. Cooper to "VV. A. Murray. No mess about Bruce pollincr places, which have not been altered since 1575. If you fail to understand apply to Mr Carew, Returning Oih'cer. The above is in reply to a telegram sent by me to ask why the polling place Hillend, Stoney Creek, has been shifted to Hillend North, (Oswald's), on the boundary of the Electoral District. Of this I understand there appears to be now no doubt, and it will cause nvich inconvenience to electors near Stoney Creek, Hillend, to have to go to Kaitangata, Milton, or Hillend North. The pert reply of tl.ii official cos-t me 2i 3d, and shows how the civil servants in Wellington think themselves entitled by devinc right to be uncivil masters to the people of this Colony.--I am &c, YV. A. Murray.
