When the stumps were drawn on the first day the Australians were all out for 63 runs. The Englishmen scored 61, wilh four wickets to fall. On the second day, the first innings of the Nottingham team closed for 153, of which Selbymadeee The attendance at the match was large. The best bowling was by Horan, who in 17 overs took five wickets for 31 rani. , The Australians in their second innings made 46 runs, with three wickets down.
