he thought that it would be settled out of Court. — Adjournment granted. DUNNE V. ROBERTSON. Paid into Court. * * HOWIE V. F. ROBERTS. Settled out of Court. THOS. KEENAN V. AIXAN STEWART. Claim of £2, for board and lodging. — Mr W. Henderson, for defendant, pleaded not indebted.— Plaintift deposed that on the 25th ot May Allan Stewart enme to him and asked if he would give one M'Coll two weeks' board, and that he (Stewart) would be responsible. Plaintiff agreed, and M'Coll remained one month.. Plaintiff left the Court to obtain his day book, but did not return for a considerable time, when the Court was about to close — The case was dismissed. CAMKIHG V. M'GHIE. Claim of £9 3s, for board and lodging and cash lent. — Mr W. Henderson for plaintiff.— The plaintiff having proved the debt, defendant asked for tim.- to pay.— His Worship refused to interfere, stating that no one had any right to go to a hotel and then leave without paying his bill. The defendant had had plenty of time to pay the account, he should therefore leave him in the hands of the plaintiff. Judgment was given for the amount claimed and costs. M'DONALD V. CLARK. W. Henderson appeared for plaintiff, who did not attend. Nonsuited, with 21s costs. JOHN M : NEIL V. D. P. M'KENZIB. Mr W. Henderson, for plaintiff, asked for an adjournment tor a week, as the case might be settled out of Court. Adjournment granted Application for transfer of publican's license from D. Sullivan, Kaitangata, to Giimour. Remanded for a week, awaiting police report from Naseby.
