MARTIN & CO. have received • instructions from Robert Hamilton, Esq., Eozelle, to sell by auction, at their yards, on the above date, the following valuable stock, viz. — Lot I.— "YOUNG LOFTY," rising 8 years old, by that celebrated horse Lofty, imported by the late Thomas Robinson, Esq., of Southland. His dam, a first-class Clydesdale mare, imported from Tasmania at great expense by Mr Thomas Clerke. Young Lofty, as a yearling, took first prize as the best Clydesdale entire colt in the yard at the Southland Show in 1867 ; as a two-year-old he also took first prize in 1868 ; as a four-year-old he took first prize against all comers in 1870. Lot 2.— " LORD NELSON," rising 4 years old, by Young Lofty, out of the celebrated mare Flower, winner of the first prizes for five years in succession at the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show, and is without doubt the best mare that any colonial entire has been bred out of. Lot 3.— Colt rising 3 years old, full brother to "LORD NELSON," an animal of great promise, and admirably adapted for station use. Note —All the above horses are in firstclass health and,ready to prepare for the season, their breeding is undoubted, and they are also guaranteed to be first class workers. Mr Hamilton having purchased the horse " Prince of Wales," and consequently having too many to attend to, is his sole reason for parting with this valuable stud. Intending purchasers are invited to inspect the horses at Rozslle. N.B.— The imported Clydesdale "Prince of Wales " will be exhibited on the clay of sale. Particulars of a number of draught and light stock, to be offered at this sale, will appeai-'in a future advertisement. Sale Avill commence at 11 sharp.
