July 21, 1874. (Before J. P. Maitland, Esq., R.M.) BRUCE COAL COMPANY V. MACKAY. This case had been adjourned for the decision of the Bench on a point as to whether Mr Taylor, who said he appeared for the plaintiffs, was bound to produce his authority for so doing. The Court considered that if Mr Taylor ■vaa prepared to say that he appeared for the Company, that should be taken as sufficient. The further hearing of the case was then adjourned for one week. LANG LEY V. GREGORY. A claim for L27 2s 6d, with interest, amount of an overdue promissory note. For the plaintiff, Mr Reid ; Mr Taylor for the defendant. After taking evidence the Court gave judgment for plaintiff with costs. July 23, 1874. sanderson v. m'parlank. Claim L9 Is 3d. Mr Reid appeared for plaintiff, for whom judgment for L8 13s 9d was given, together with costß.
