I HEREWITH deposit the sum of Twenty Pounds, as required by the Mining Leases Regulations of Otago, and agree, if my application (the particulars of which are hereunder set forth) investigated, that such sum shall in all respects be held subject to the terms of sucK-regulations, and that upon the approval of this application, I will execute a Lease upon the basis therein stated, if the Governor shall think fit to grant the same for the Concord Quartz jMining Company. - (Signed) H. Extent of Land applied for.— l2oo feet in length by 300 feet in breadth. Minimum number of men to be employed by the Lessee,— <l) For the first three months, two men. (2.) Subsequently, when in full work, twelve men. Amount of capital to be invested. — One thousand pounds, sterling — £1000. Proposed mode of working the land. — By sinking, tunnelling, driving, washing and crushing thfe quartz by machinery. Precise locality.— Quartz Gully, Nuggety Gully, Waitahuna. Ground granted as a prospecting claim by one and others. Certificate No. 1436, in Block VII., i'able Hill. Terms for which lease required. — 15 years, at a rentalof L 2 10s per acre per annum. Time of commencing operations. — Immediately on granting a .certificate. The above application, and any objection ■thereto, will be heard bef ©re me at Lawrence on the 17th day of January, 1872.
