IN compliance with recommendations contained in the Reports of the Flax Commission Committee, and of the Joint Committee on Colonial industries, to the effect hat *• premiums not exceeding in the whole LSOO should be granted for the encouragement of Sericulture in the Colony," and that the development of certain industrial pursuits would often be best promoted by the offer of a bonus on production, the. following rewards are offered, subject to the under-mentioned conditions :— - A bonus of 50 per cent, on the value realised is offered for the production of the first LIOOO worth of cocoons of the Silkworm or eggs of the Silkworm, produced in the Colony, to. be paid on quantities of not less value than LSO or more than -LIOO produced by any one person, f To any person or persons who shall manu-acnu'-e, within the Colony, from' New. Zealand flax : X Fur the first 500 reams of Printing Paper, a3um of L4OO ; and a further sum of L250 fer the first 500 reams of Packing Paper ; and the lite sum for thei first 10,000 yards of Scrim-cloth suitable for covering flax bales. Conditions. Tho required quantity of each article to be completed before the 30th June, 1872. The weight of each ream of printing paper to be not less than 301b5., of each reamvuf packing paper not less than 401b§.. ) -''and of each piece of scrim-cloth o£-<ioo yards in length and double wid&h.,"not less than 301bs.
