C. W. Lorenzen, produce broker, Jetty street, reports : — Prices ruling almost without variation from last week, Chaff and Oafs, however, being move enquired for. The following are the highest quotations : — Good Oaten Chaff, L 5 10s per ton. Oats, ready sale at 2s 9d cash. Wheat, nominal, 6s 6d and 6s 9d. Barley — Cape, 4s 3d ; English, 5s and 5s 6d. a^jYg Grass Seed, 6* 3d to 7s. • t Cj^/ — Loose, L 4 10s ; trussed, L 5. TJlfbiw— Ll 15 S to L 2. Potatoes — In consequence of receipt of advices from Holdtika of tlie arrival at that port of several vessels loaded with potatoes from Circular Head, and the forced sale at auction of several parcels, which realised only L 6 10s to L 7 per ton, less demand for shipping exists. Still, good potatoes will command L 3 10s per ton, if promptly brought to market. Oats are also in the same position, realising only 5s per bushel, including bags.
