WOOL SALES. TO SQUATTERS, MERCHANTS, AND OTHERS. IN THE PROVINCES OP OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND. The system of submitting Wool, Tallow, and similar produce to sale by Auction as practised in the Australian Colonies, and as introduced and successfully carried out by M'Landress, Hepburn and Co. in this Colony, has been received with so much favor by Sellers and Buyers in this and the neighboring Provinces, that it may be assumed without doubt Public Sales will in future become the recognised medium for the disposal of these products. M. L. H. and Co. would remind Squatters that every parcel of wool submitted by them to auc'ion last year was disposed of at prices satisfactory to Sellers in every instance. Assured of the continued support of the Wool Growers of Otago, IyT'LANDRESS, HEPBURN", AND CO. -"■*- beg to intimate that they will resume as early as practicable their WEEKLY AUCTION SALES OP WOOL, &c during the approaching season, and to secure the efficient management of this, business, arrangements have been made on an extended scale for receiving, classifying, and cataloguing wools, under the superintendence of an experienced Stapler. In consequence of a recent addition to the Firm of ML., H. and Co., one of the partners will devote his entire attention to Wool, thereby securing to Wool-growers the fullest possible regard to their interests The Exhibition to be shortly held in this city will afford an opportunity not to be overlooked o: displaying the resources of this country in its .staple export. Impressed with this view, M'Lan•Jress, Hepburn and Co., have secured space for exhibiting prepared samples of wool ; and intending exbibitors will please inform them as e arly as possible what their intentions are.
