THE AMERICAN- PLAYERS. Press Assn—By telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, January 12. Mr Waider, secretary of the Western Lawn Tennis Association, announced that the United States players would cease to be contestants for the internatrophy unless the Australians agreed to play on American soil for the Davis Cup. Mr Waider said he believed this was the feeling of tennis players throughout the country.
The American Tennis World picked the Americans to settle the cup competition in five minutes !
