Applications for preference shares in the Huddart Parker Co., were seven and a half times over subscribed, and ordinary shares twelve times. It was decid ed to make the minimum fifty, and the maximum five hundred. After allotting certain shares essentia] in the interests of the company, the balance will be ballotted for. Fifteen thour*ne! shares have gone to New Zealand, and 25,000 to Australian ports, exclusive of Sydney, and Melbourne, which have received 60000 and 150,000 respectively.
