ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NELSON, December 22. William C-assidy ,a quarryman employed at Terakohe cement works, died in the hospital yesterday as -the result of a trap accident last week. 'lhe medical evidence at the inquest showed ihat the deceased sustained a fractured spine. The inquest was adjourned. GISBOIINE, This Day. At the inquest on the death of jchn Klein, a Russian, aged 35, who has been drinking heavily, -the jury returned a verdict according to the medical testimony, that death was due to syncoparising from the fatty statu ot the heart, and added a rider that th;v weiv of the opinion that if deceased ha J ha ! proper treatment, and nourishment hi." life would have been prolonged.
