Press Assn —Bv telegraph—Copyright LOXDOX, December 22. Turbulence at Dundee continues a:,id the strikers are preventing the delivery of coal. Thre is much rioting, and during the evening the crowd at the Caledonian railway station stoned the police. The mounted police repeatedly charged and eventually dispersed the crowd. Four constables were taken to the hospital seriously injured. The strike of weavers at an Acrington mill was precipitated by the refusal of a man and his wife to become unionists. Blackburn mill owners have instructed delegates to the Cotton Workers and Spinners' Conference tp support a lockout. The Durham eoal miners declined to accede to the demand for an individual -minimum wage irrespective of the amount of work done. Tlie Northumberland miners are dissatisfied with the Federation's refusal -to take action on the short shift (jm'stion considering it- creates a setback to their aggressive policy., This may possibly lead to their withdrawal from the Federation.
