THE WAIPAWA CANDIDATES.
In the local contest, the ('lectors have a clear-cut choice. On the. one hand, they have in ~Mr Jail a man- of undoubted power, a man who by ability and force of character lias won: a high position amongst his .fellow settlers, and one who is devoted to tho cause of the people. On the
other tihe.y have Mr Hunter,, a gentleman of un impeachable private character, but who is the avowed supporter of the party whose ono desire is to oust the Liberal party from office, with .a view to replacing them by a, body of deter mi nod Tories, whose weight and influence has always been, against tho advanced and progressive legislation which has done so much to stimulate the prosperity of the Dominion. There is the choice, and the people 'may bo relied upon to give a suitablo answer.
