Mr Hall, M.P.,, returns from Wellington this evening. Ma- Petersen is at present in town making arrangements if or the appearance of Wirth's circus on February 8. Mr A. L. D. Fraser, of* Hastings, was a passenger for Wellington by the express to-day. Mr H. Hassall, of Hastings, was a passenger by the express to-day for Woodville, where he is exhibiting horses at the show. Mr N. Hyssop, a representative of the firm who «rc agents far A'mboir Tips tea, is at present on >a. visit to Diaunevirke. He reports that the demand .for Amber Tips is steadily im-reasing. Mr J. Moorby, of Kiritaki, a member of the Woodville County -Council, who has been in indifferent health for some time, left for Napier this afternoon to recuperate. Mr Moorby hopes to be able to attend the next meeting of the council, and will then take an extended holiday. Reference was made in the pulpit on Sunday evening, at All Saints' Church, Taradale, to the death of Mr J. H. Harpham, youngest son of Mr W. Harpham, of Taradale, which took ace after a brief illness at the Dannevirke Hospital. At the conclusion of the service the organist, Mr C. P. Clarke, played the Dead March in ''Saul" out of respect for the deceased, the congregation remaining standing.
