Mr Frank Osborne, solicitor, has issued a Avrit against the Federal Government, asking for a declaration that the land tax is invalid, it not being Avithin the poAvers of the Commonwealth to levy such a tax under its present constitution. H o has made .application for injunction restraining the CommoiiAvealtli Government from requiring returns or entering land to make valuations.
