Large consignment* of new goods for all departments are now being opened up at A. Spenee's, Adelaide House. Amongst these- is a particularly good selection of Motiey's celebrated hosiery, comprising ladies' and girls' cashmere hose, and fancy, boys' knickor hose, ladies' and girls' under vests and combinations, gents' sox and underwear. January the 21st will be a red-letter-dav for Dannevirke, when M'Dowell and Power will commence their big half-yearly surplus drapery sale. Their sales arc now quite an institution and eagerly looked forward to, being genuine and sweeping in character.
