ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on' their Pahiatua. sale of loth inst. as follows: —Sheep were yarded close up to advertised numbers, and the yarding of cattle was also a heavy one. Sheep realised good values, and we have to report practically a total clearance. Cattle were also in good demand, especially for steers and bullocks. Quotations : Two- and fourtooth ewes (small) 10s 8d to lis 6d, good 4-tooth to 4-year-old ewes 12s to 12s 3d, good 4 and 5-year-old ewes lis to lis 6d, medium do. 9s 7d to 10s 9d, sound-mouth ewes 7s to 89 Bd, aged ewes 5s to 6s Bd, good ewe 'lambs 10s, good lambs 7s to 7s 3d, medium lambs 4s 6d to 5s 6d, small lambs 3s 9d to 4s Id, 2 and 4-tooth wethers in good condition 12s 3d, small wethers 9s to 9s Bd, Lincoln rams ligs, afed Romney rams 1 to lgs; forward bullocks £5 9s 6d to £0 15s, 3-year steers £4 4s to £5 2s 6d, 18-month steers £3 9s, heifers in calf £2 15s to £3 6s, weaner Jersey Gross heifers 375, forward cows £3 19s, store cows 35s to 455, cows and calves £3 19s, bull's 25s to £2 10s.
