DANNEVIRKE COUNTY ROADS.
To-day a tour of inspection of tlie roads and bridges within the County of Daimevirke was made by the following:—Mr W. Nathan, Government road engineer; Mr Harris, county engineer; Mr F G. Cowper, chairman County Council, and Messrs Ross and Hall, M's.P. Following are grants which ha.ve been transferred by the department to the County Council for expenditure :—Piri Piri Block £I2OO, Tamaki River road 1 and Rua-Roa road £450, Mangatoro foot bridges £l2O, Ota m air aho road £7 8s 3d, Tamaki settlement £l4 Is 6d, Tunakori bridges £ll 16s, AAaitahora road £IOO, Makotuku to Matamau Toad £246 Is 51, Maiunga. road £312 Bs, Mangamaire road £46 9s 3d, Maligaipualca road £2BO lis lOd, Mangapuaka. bridges £-~OQ Te Uri road £IOO.
