HAWKE'S BAY LAND BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Hawke's Bay Land Board was held yesterday. Present: Messrs T. N. Brodriok (Commissioner), 11. Groom, W. E. Akroyd and G. Wright. Amongst the business transacted was the following: H. Black applied for an exchange of creamery site, section 35, block 9, Norsewood (Piri Piri). —Board is willing to sanction the exchange, but all details to be left in the hands of the Commissioner.
E. Lame applied for permission to purchase buildings on section 2, block 9, Maraekakaho.—Granted. T. J. Thomas applied for remission of rent on small grazing run No. 89, Moanui.—Refused.
A. Christensen, asking the board to fix valuations of a. renewable lease on section 50, block 1, Tahortiti.— Valuation fixed at £lO 10s per aiore. A. F. Lehndorf, asking to lease sectiou 46, "Woodville suburbs.— Granted.
John Boyle applied for section 83, block 3, Mangatera Village settlement, under the renewable lease system. Approved. The Crown lands ranger, Mr H. M'artin-Smith, reported on 43 holdings, Piri Piri block, section 31, block 9, Woodville, and section 32, block 1, Hatiuma. —Notices to be served on defaulters, the last-named section to be forfeited as the lessee had left the district.
A. N. M. Price, section-13, block 16, Norse wood ; exemption from residence granted. The following transfers were approved:—•Section o, block 8, Norsewood, A. M'Lean to A. AV. C. Milne; section 17, block 13, Wakara.ra, M. S. Bergeirsen to J. F. C'arlsson.; section 35, block 1, .Ruataniwha, and section 1, block 5, Makaretu, A. Bergersen to- J. F. C'arlsson.
