The verdict on Girley Watson, the pugilist, was one of accidental death. The medical evidence showed that death wis due to a lacerated artery in the brain.

Girley Watson, ex-champion of the navy, was knocked out in a boxing match at Wonderland, and died three hours later. His opponent, a colored man named Inglis, was arrested.
