BURNING OF A HOTEL.

A MAN MISSING. [press association.] INVERCARGILL, This Day. The Railway Hotel at Winton, an old wooden building of two stories, was completely destroyed by fire at 6 this morning. Thomas M'lncrnoy, who was in charge for the licensee, escaped, but has not been seen since, and it is supposed he re-entered the building to secure the contents of the safe, and was burnt to death. The insurances are: New Zealand office, £SOO on building and £375 on contents; North British, £250; and Yorkshire, £2OO on contents. INVERCARGILL, This Day. The charred remains of Thomas M'lnerney were found dead in the debris at the Winton fire.
