Ciossbreds were eagerly disputed for at 20 per cent, higher; 5814 bales ol : La Plata were offered and 3542 sold. [PIfESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHU.KCH, January 13. The third wool sale of this season's series was held to-dav, when 22,'798 hales were catalogued. There was a good attendance of buyers, though not so large as at the two previous .sales. There was good competition for all descriptions of wool and the sale was an exceedingly satisfactory one. Best half-breds sold fully up to the level of the December sale; medium half-breds and all grades of orossbreds were firmer in many cases by fully id p<>r lb and merino wool sold better than at the previous sales. The range of prices was as follows: Merino Lid to 13 Jd. medium BAd to TOfd, super-halfbred 12£ d to medium 11 Id to 12£ d, inferior lOd to lid, super Gorriedale 12-Ul, medium 9-Jd to lid, super threequarter-bred 12d to 12§d, medium 10d to inferior 3|d to 9sd, supo.r crossbred 12£ d, medium lOd to Hid, inferior 8d to 9j|d, Down wool to 12d. Jong wool 7d to 10?, d._ merino pieces to 11-J-d, best halfbred pieces 9d to 11- c d, second lialfbred nieces oAd to Byd, crossbred pieces 4d to 9d, locks 2d to 6d.
